I helped write VO dialogue and narrative design for this emotional, adventure game about loss. Inspired by Journey and What Remains of Edith Finch. The main developer wrote the story, which was very personal to him. He hired me to help achieve his vision for the story. He sent first drafts/prototypes at which I polished with rewrites and narrative design. We iterated through several builds, using placeholder VO, until we were satisfied with the emotional impact he envisioned. We had several players cry at the ending, so we did our job well!

I wrote the story, cutscenes, characters, and VO dialogue. The story explores the question: When do robots become human? This was my first game working with a voice actor, so it was awesome hearing a character come to life. I wrote all cutscenes in the game to make the player feel certain emotions and build up to the climatic twist. One of our players cried! I was very proud of that.
Mystery | Puzzle | Exploration
I wrote the story, characters, dialogue, cutscenes, and lore items. Players awake in a dark forest with no memories and explore to find their way out.I designed the narrative through lore items scattered in the forest and cutscenes locked behind puzzles. This builds up to a satisfying reveal of the mystery behind the amnesiac player character.
Action | Platformer | Hack & Slash
I wrote the story, player character, dialogue, and enemy barks. I worked with our sound and environment artists to design the narrative of the player character rushing through various landscapes, cutting down demonic enemies to save her village before the moon turns full blood red.The team prioritized gameplay over narrative so I learned how to tell a story without cutscenes. We used only barks, environment, and game mechanics to tell the story.
Mystery | Death Game | Puzzle
I help with outlining, developmental editing, and scene writing in this mystery visual novel. Fourteen supposed criminals are forced to participate in a death game to escape with their lives. The main developer pushes monthly updates to subscribed beta players. As a solo developer, he hired me to instill confidence in his writing and to accelerate development for 14 routes (yes, 14!).He sends an outline for the monthly update, at which I provide edits and bounce ideas/solutions. Then, I write the first draft for some scenes that he uses to further polish into his unique writing style and voice.

My very first visual novel! Players manage their own VTuber agency. I wrote the story and dialogue for four recruitable VTubers. I directed four voice actors for their respective VTuber. The visual novel has sim gameplay elements which I wrote comedic, satirical flavor text such as answering weird fan emails. I've never written comedy so it was fun to write in a tone that I'm not used to.We had six real VTubers stream the visual novel on Twitch! It was gratifying watching their live emotional reaction towards the ending of these VTubers' stories. They were attached to them. At the end of the day, that is why I love to write. To stir emotions.
